Colombia/Panama Philatelic Society, was founded in July 1983, the 200th anniversary of the birth of Simon Bolivar, the liberator of Colombia and its first president. COPAPHIL is affiliate #142 of the American Philatelic Society since August 1985. The purpose of COPAPHIL is to promote the philately of Colombia and Panama.

COPAPHIL will celebrate its 25th Anniversary at WESTPEX 2008. The show will be held April 25-27 at the San Francisco Airport Marriott. There will be 68 frames of Colombia and Panama material on display including collections from Colombia, Australia and England.
